Self-Grading Quiz Creator: Multiple Choice Version
Step 1: Enter Questions and Answers. To enter questions/choices one at a time: Scroll down and enter the question, the 2-6 possible choices, and a reference (if any) into the "Question Entry Form." Then click the radio button adjacent to the correct choice and click the "Add to Quiz" button. Repeat for each question you would like included in your quiz. To load questions/choices all at once: Paste your question/choice list into the "Formatted Question List" in the following format (all 9 "[...]" must be included for each question, even if the optional choices are left blank): [Q]What is my name? [A]Dan [B]Dave [C]Jim [D] [E] [F] [ANS]A [REF]You should have known that ... mom! **Note: You should create your formatted list in a text-only application, such as NotePad or SimpleText, to avoid pasting hidden, application-specific characters into the text field (from MS Word, for example) . After pasting your question/choice list into the "Formatted Question List," click the button titled, "Load Questions and Answers into Editor." If the process worked correctly, you should see all of your questions appearing in the drop-down menu entitled, "Select Question for editing or deleting." When you select a question for editing you can edit or delete the question directly -- which will automatically update the text in the "Formatted Question List."

Step 2: Edit quiz contents if necessary. You can either edit the questions individually by selecting them in the above drop-down menu, or you can edit the quiz questions and answers in the field below (just make sure the "[...]" formatting remains the same). IMPORTANT: Your questions are not saved on this website, so if you enter the questions one at a time rather than from the contents of a saved file, be sure to periodically save the contents of the Formatted Question List to a file on your hard drive (preferably a text-only file using Notepad or SimpleText). That way, if something happens you can just paste your formatted questions list back into the Self-Grading Quiz Creator and load them back into the editor.

Step 3: Give the Quiz a Title and Create the Quiz. Enter the title of the quiz and click the "Create Quiz" button. Clicking the "Create Quiz" button will reload this page, and include a working copy of your quiz below this form. Just below the working copy will be a field that includes the code you need to copy and paste into wherever you are installing the quiz.
